Manager Job Description
Located in Bole; Addis Ababa, Sabegn manufactures and bring leather bags to the national and international market along with Ethiopian produced and lifestyle goods with the motto of Crafted in Ethiopia! Our operations include a production workshop, a retail space for local hand crafts and a small coffee shop.
With that in mind, the responsibilities and job description of the incoming general manager are follows:
Responsibilities
- Managing the brand values
- Overlooking stock (café, shop, production)
- Managing sales team
- Managing guards and Overseeing Security
- Overseeing household upkeep
- Managing shop content and over all look (aesthetics )
- Day to day operation planning
- Assist in the design and implementation of a strategic business direction
- Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships through collaborating and understanding their needs (custom and wholesale)
- Assist Founders and Strategic Manager on tasks that arise daily
- Oversee monthly bank reconciliation
- Plan and oversee social media strategy and brand consistency
- Follow up and implement performance appraisal two times per year
- Recruiting, evaluating and hiring new employee’s
- Ensure maintenance and filing of import and export documents
- Overlook production schedule and on time delivery
Required skills, experience and qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in management or related field
- Relevant work experience of over 5 years
- Work experience in an international environment
- Confident, helpful, friendly, hard working and engaging personality (extrovert)
- Fluent communication skill both in English and Amharic, (verbal & written)
- Excellent knowledge and ability to use MS office (word, Excel)
- Knowledge and experience of social media platforms application for business (Facebook, Instagram, Telegram, YouTube)
- Ability to multi task, deliver on deadlines and work under pressure
- Well organized and planning driven approach
- Excellent team work abilities
- Ability to consistently maintain a positive company culture and atmosphere
- Good understanding of social media and the international market
- Ability to work on various tasks, work load, work hour different from normal office hours
